Once upon a time back in the year of our Lord 2009, there was a reality show on the SyFy network called the World Cyber Games Ultimate Gamer. One part reality show, one part Survivor style competition, the show focused around folks doing both live action challenges and video game faceoffs to eliminate one another. One of the show’s competitors was the school-girl-uniform-wearing Guitar Hero ninja Ciji “StarSlay3r” Thornton. Shanghai talks with her at length about some of the behind the scenes stuff that the public isn’t privy to for reality show taping, how she’s continued on with the death of the Guitar Hero franchise, and what her future plans are to work her way into a paid gig within the gaming industry!
As for intro/outro this week, Shanghai keeps his wife happy and bows out of this week’s show, leaving Twitter BFFs Batman and third chair replacement Gamer Girl Gigi to fire off inappropriate sexual innuendos at each other while Nico’s got something to say about Call of Duty Black Ops zombie map packs or retro games (Editor’s note: Shanghai here, I haven’t listened to the episode yet, was I close?).
