Operation Supply Drop’s PROJECT FREELANCER Care Package Request from Afghanistan!

Look at these fools.  They’re taking shirtless pictures of themselves with sniper rifles.  They look bored out of their minds.  Let’s get them some vidja games!

We’re still putting together our SPACE COWBOY care package to Nick and his team of Afghan National Army trainers (ugh, those poor saps), but the New Year is here and we have to keep moving forward!

Named for our friends Gus and Jack over at the insane asylum known as Rooster Teeth Productions for donating a signed copy of Red vs. Blue Season 9 to Operation Supply Drop, care package PROJECT FREELANCER is going out to an infantry unit in Shah Joy, Afghanistan to David.  And let’s face it, that picture of the shirtless guys is about as “Bloodgulch Valley” as you can get.  Here’s his request:

My company and other attachments are stationed in the Shay Joy province at XXXXX. Its a small base with no post exchange, no store, etc. and the closest thing is a two hour drive to a bigger base.  But, the kicker is, we never get to make the drive because of IED threats. So, we have to rely on care packages. We have recently made a new building and call it the “game room”. We are hoping we can get people or an organization to start some sort of game donations.  There’s not much to do here. There are almost XXX American soldiers here and only 10 computers and 5 phones. Doesn’t leave many people much to do to pass the time. We are just looking for some entertainment. We have no television (AFN) to keep updated with news except the internet, so times get boring. But, im sure myself and PLENTY of other American troops would be very grateful if we could get some gaming consoles and games.
