Today, WG Games announced that Gotham City Impostors will be moved back to a “February time frame” release. This comes hot off the heels of collecting data and feedback from their multiplayer beta. Originally, the release date was planned for January 10th on PC, Xbox Live Arcade, and PSN.
We’re all for games getting that little bit of extra time to really add that extra layer of polish. A good example of that playing out in everyone’s favour (I’m Canadian, get used to seeing “u”s where you least expect thum) was Gears of War 3, which originally was slated for an April 2011 release, then got pushed back to September, but benefited from a multiplayer beta, and being recognized as one of the most polished games of 2011.

Here’s hoping that an extra month of tweaking and improving Impostors will give it that little extra something special to make the game sing. You better believe that we’ll be there chomping at the bit to play it, and as FTG’s new Community Manager, I personally promise that we’ll have a kickin’ Gamernight immediately after release. We can’t wait and we’ll see you there.
