Shanghai Six sits down with LA actress and model Rana McAnear to discuss how a simple afternoon of facial capture has more or less changed the course of her life! As the face of two of the more notable Mass Effect Asari characters, Morinth and Samara, the job has been the jumping off point to her career. We discuss her surprisingly rabid fanbase, the shocking amount of time and energy it takes to “become” an Asari, and how Bioware is handling her appearances (it’s not what you’d think!).
As for intro/outro, the old gang’s back in town as Batman can’t help but chatter about post-PAX blues and further adventures in Hero Academy with the Tribe, Gamergirl shows off all her Forza 4 paintjobs, and Shanghai bangs his head against a wall while playing The Witcher 2 on Dark difficulty (see also: Dark Souls).
Also, fair listeners, we are a handful of 5-star reviews away from 100 5-star reviews on iTunes, and as we lean into episode 100 of the show, we would love to be able to cross that finish line a few weeks from now. It’s what has helped get Front Towards Gamer Radio on iTunes “New and Noteworthy” section recently, so let’s show ‘em why we got there!
