FTG Gamerguide: Trials Evolution Achievement Walkthrough

Achievement List

No Problemo 10G

Pass the D License Test and get your first bike.

It’s that easy. And you don’t even need any medals to access the track.

Back to Achievement List

From the Ashes 20G

Finish all tracks in the Walk in The Park Event using the Phoenix 250cc bike.

The Phoenix 250cc is unlocked after you get your A license, so you’ll need to bag that and the corresponding School’s Out achievement before you can attempt this one.

The tracks are all beginner level and there are five in total:

  • Ridge Racer
  • Beach Head
  • Dunes of Hazard
  • Downhill Dominator
  • Moto Madness

Back to Achievement List

Nervous Twitch 20G (Secret Achievement) and Avatar Award

Doh! You had a near-perfect run on a Hard or Extreme track, but blew it after the last checkpoint.

Event: Cutting Edge

Race: Home Run (shortest of the Hard maps)

Bike: Phoenix 250cc (recommended)

You’ll need to do a near flawless run of the track for this one. The flaming wall near the end of the track can be a bit tricky, so just take your take it easy as there are no time restraints. The checkpoint just before the ring of fire is the last one, so as soon as you’ve passed the marker, it’s the time to take a dive or simply press B to reset to the checkpoint.

Dust yourself off and scooch on through to the finish line to collect your avatar award and sweet 20G. Don’t be tempted to bail out because it doesn’t always work.

Beyond the Wall of Pain 10G and Avatar Award

Smash your bike and break every bone in one spectacular crash.

Event: Terminal Velocity

Race: Roller Coaster

Bike: Phoenix 250cc (recommended)

This cheevo is a super easy! Just get to the end of the track and when you hit the finish line, your bike will coast to a stop before a giant bomb lands on your head, crushing your weak mortal body and trashing your bike. Et voilà!

Back to Achievement List

Burnt to a Crisp 20G

Pass ‘Lab Rat’ without faulting while constantly on fire.

Event: Cutting Edge

Race: Lab Rat

Bike: Phoenix 250cc (recommended)

This challenge is not an easy one. You’ll need to cultivate a toasty fire in the seat of your pants and keep it burning merrily until the race is over – without overheating and blowing up, MotorStorm style.

First thing’s first: DO NOT speed off as soon as the level starts. Wait a few seconds for the pipe gushing water to collapse, so you don’t get dowsed right out of the gate.

At the 15 second mark, you’ll approach a ramp leading to a water filled pool that’s draining out through a small pipe in the side. Jump the ramp like Mario and gain extra leverage by getting your bike up and over the big pipe above the pool, which will have had time to empty by the time you drop down and land in it. You don’t want that raging fire to go out!

Next up is a series of suspended platforms. The third platform will lead to a double ramp – one above the other. Shoot for the top or you will crash and fail miserably.

The rest is just skill, so get practicing and take your time. But don’t dilly dally or the flames will get out of hand and you’ll explode.

Check Out My Ride 10G

Join a public multiplayer match using at least five custom bike and rider parts.

Head to the Single Player campaign and work your way through it to start earning some moola. The quickest way to get this achievement is to earn the minimum amount of cash that will snag you the required booty. You’ll hit that figure at around the $15,000 mark. Once your wallet’s bulging, pay a visit to the garage and start splurging:

Rider

Feet: Old Rattler Boots $2,690

Bottom: Classic Jeans $3,890

Hands: Half Finger Leather Gloves $1,390

Bike

Plastic Parts – Front Fender: MX Front Fender 2: $1,990

Plastic Parts – Fork Guards: MX Fork Guards 2: $990

Plastic Parts – Grips: Handguards: $2,990

These are pretty much the cheapest accessories and parts you can buy, for a total of $13,940. Boot up a multiplayer match, making sure to select the bike you just souped-up. As soon as the match starts, you’ll get a cool 10G.

Demon On Wheels II 30G

Pass every track in the Flatliner Event.

To unlock this event, you’ll need to have completed all of the other events and their races. This event is comprised of seven extreme level tracks that you should tackle with the Phoenix 250cc. You’ll inevitably unlock the Extreme Prejudice achievement whilst completing this.

  • Truth is Out There
  • Out of the Pit
  • Fishy Business
  • Dark City Run
  • The Wreck
  • Way of the Ninja
  • Inferno 3

Good luck!

Custom Finish 20G

Host and finish a Private or Local Multiplayer match on a User-created Track with at least 2 players.

Another ‘do what it says on the tin’ achievement with this one. Get a willing body, either in the same room or on the interwebz, create a multiplayer match and be sure to select one of the multitude of free, user-created maps that are on offer. As soon as you both complete the race, you’ll get the cheevo.

Back to Achievement List

Community Spirit 20G

Post a time on another player’s custom created track.

Navigate your way to Track Central from the Main Menu and select Get Tracks to access the list of community generated tracks. Once you’ve chosen and downloaded your preferred track, boot it up and start your engines. At the finish, your time will be posted and your gamerscore will be 20G richer.

Back to Achievement List

Fast Five 20G

Win five matches in public multiplayer.

Each mulitplayer match is made up of a number of heats that net you points – the higher your position at the end of each heat, the higher the score at the end of the match. At the end of each match, the points are totted up to display the players’ final positions so ideally you want to aim to finish first or second in every heat to be in with a decent chance of coming first at the end of the match.

The wins don’t have to be in consecutive matches, so as long as you come first five times over the course of your forays into multiplayer, you’ll get the achievement.

Back to Achievement List

Extreme Prejudice 20G

Complete any Extreme track.

As with the Demon on Wheels II achievement, you need to unlock the Flatliner Event, which contains the extreme level tracks.

There are no time restraints or limits to how many flaws you’re allowed so pick whichever track you think you’ll be most comfortable with and go for it.

Back to Achievement List

Flawless Victory 20G

Finish the ‘Scenic Route’ Tournament without any faults.

Bike: Scorpion 450cc (recommended)

Head to Tournaments and get ready for some serious racing. Boot up the Scenic Route tournament and start praying, because this achievement is super difficult. Here’s a helpful video from YouTuber with commentary giving handy hips for each track.

Full Throttle II 20G

Finish ‘Archipelago’ without faulting or ever releasing the throttle.

Bike: Scorpion 450cc (recommended)

I guess momma was right when she told you to sit up straight, because posture is everything! The Scorpion 450cc is a nippy bike that doesn’t bounce around like boobies on Baywatch, so it will make this achievement a little easier to get. You’ll have to run through this track a few times to familiarize yourself with how to handle each section, but just make sure to use those analogue sticks constantly! You’ll need to rely on the your rider’s posture to negotiate the track to bag this cheevo.

Back to Achievement List

Loonie Lander 20G

The hawk has landed. Time to show the flag! (The small one.)

Head over to the Skill Game Circus and select the UFO race, in which you’ll be piloting a flying saucer. The controls are similar to that of the bikes, but you’ll get a briefing before you begin. The track itself is superfluous, so get to a medium altitude (above the buildings) and whizz off to the end of the track.

When you reach the end, you’ll see a tall building  – you need to get your ass into that chimney before the timer reaches the 30 second mark. You’ll know if you were too slow because the snazzy lights on your saucer will flash red and you won’t be able to enter. You will, in fact, perish. So be sure to slow down as you sight the building so you can manoeuvre your way in without any hiccups.

Once you’re in, time is not a factor so there’s not need to go nuts and try to rush through the split level maze to the end. In fact, full pelt should be avoided altogether in this section – all you need to do is feather the throttle (tap very lightly and quickly, never applying full pressure) and you should make it safely to the landing pad at the end.

Don’t panic if you’re finding it difficult, as you can land the UFO on the ground as you traverse the maze – just remember to land it gently, because dropping onto the concrete from a height is not a great idea if you plan on getting this achievement.

Back to Achievement List

Hard the Hard Way 20G

Finish ‘The Ascent’ without faulting on the Rattler 125cc bike.

Event: Cutting Edge

Race: The Ascent

Bike: Rattler 125cc (recommended)

The bunny hop is your friend on this track, so if you can just about pull it off, this run shouldn’t be too bad.

You can pretty much go full throttle all the way up the incline, making sure to lean your weight forward, until you reach the small plateau with the first jump. This is just bouncing across a stack of tyres so nothing too far outside of the Trials player’s comfort zone.

If you find yourself rolling back down any of the slopes, ease off the throttle and just try again at the bottom. This is another challenge in which time is irrelevant so make the most of that to pull off a flawless run.

At the very top of the next hill is the second jump, and you’ll need a good run up and a bunny hop to get over this one. This is immediately followed by an uphill incline jump, because Red Lynx are evil like that, and you’ll need another run up and bunny hop to clear it.

If you made it this far without a boo-boo, you can breathe a sigh of relief because the rest is a cake walk by comparison. So man up and get your ass to the finish line!

Back to Achievement List

School’s Out 20G

Pass the A License Test and get the Phoenix.

Another cheevo that needs no explanation. Pass that test and get that bike goddammit!

Back to Achievement List

The Editor’s Apprentice 20G

Create a track of your own that has at least three path points, then test drive it.

Head to Track Central on the Main Menu, then to Lite-Editor.

I’d advise choosing a smooth patch of ground to build your track on, and once you’ve picked the perfect place, pop down at least 3 path points like the achievement description says. There’s really no need to get too ambitious so after you’ve got enough points, you’re ready to select Test Track. When you finish up, that 20G is all yours.

Back to Achievement List

The Professional 30G

Successfully complete the single player career.

It doesn’t get much plainer than that ol’ description, so knuckle down and ride that pony like Sea Biscuit.

The Squirrels Have Eyes… 30G

Find every squirrel location hidden away in the secret corners of the world.

If you don’t know what Squirrels have in common with Trials bikes, then that’s one thing we have in common. However, there are 20 of the little blighters to find in Trials Evolution and here’s where the buggers are hiding…

Squirrel 1/20 – D License Test.

Finish the test and let the random objects cascade down upon your inert body, for within the shower, lies the Squirrel.

Squirrel 2/20 – Sunset Stripped (easy) in Fuel for the Flames event.

Scooch backward until you bump into the fence, setting off a firework. Then go ahead and complete the track, MAKING NO FAULTS. if you mess up, you’ll have to start over. Complete your flawless run and revel in the rain of squirrels.

Squirrel 3/20 -  Strike (easy) in Fuel for the Flames event.

After the fist big jump, get through the building and when you burst out of the other side, slow down so you can ride down the wooden ramp and drop into the gap between the two builings. Make sure you land right side up, because you’ll need to keep going when you hit the ground. Head through the door in front of you and up the ramps to find the squirrel.

Squirrel 4/20 – Cliff Jumper (easy) in Fuel for the Flames event.

This squirrel is lurking at the start of the map. As you land on the very first stone platform,  take it super slow and drop off the edge, landing right side up. Roll backwards and the squirrel is yours.

Squirrel 5/20 – Rock Steady (medium) in Terminal Velocity event.

At the end of the track, make sure you finish up so that you hit the 3 red stacked red barrels. Wait for the explosion to start and keep waiting until that illusive squirrel makes an appearance.

Squirrel 6/20 – Sewage Plant (medium) in Terminal Velocity event.

Near the beginning of the level, you’ll bounce across a set of 3 water pipes. Slow down before you get any further, back up your bike as far as you can, and then go full throttle up the wooden ramp in front of you, bailing out at the very top. This will send you flying into a room opposite, where you will find the next squirrel.

Squirrel 7/20 – Suspense (medium) in Terminal Velocity event.

Land on the pendulum near the start of the track and wait there. Let it get through an extra swing so that it gains extra momentum. This time, you’re ready to power up the swinging ramp, which will propel you to an upper level and into a squirrel room.

Squirrel 8/20 – Titan Graveyard (medium) in Terminal Velocity event.

Near the end of the track, as you pop out at the top of the stone staircase, slowly make your way down and off the wooden ramp at the end. Drop down onto the stone patform, and stop. Now back up your bike to the drop, make sure to land right side up, and just keep reversing until you get the squirrel.

Squirrel 9/20 – Meltdown (medium) in Terminal Velocity event.

At the start of the track, reverse your bike and you’ll be set alight. Now comes the tricky part; you must do a flawless run of the track whilst on fire and you’ll get that precious squirrel at the finish line.

Squirrel 10/20 – Archipelago (medium) in Collateral Damage

Score 5 successful flips in a row – back or front – without faulting, and you’ll find that a furry passenger will appear on the back of your bike. Pssst! It’s a squirrel!

Below is a handy video from Maka91Productions showing the first 10 squirrels being captured. If you need a little break after bagging the first  batch of squirrels, you can head on back to the achievement list. If you’re ready to plough on through for the next 10 squirrels, head on down the page.

Squirrel 11/20 – Mind Bender (medium) in Collateral Damage.

When you hit the mystical cube of water, that looks suspiciously like translucent jelly, bail out in the middle and aim backwards. You’ll land on a squirrel.

Squirrel 12/20 – Harbor Havoc (medium) in Collateral Damage.

Near the start of the track, you’ll ride across some shipping containers. Stop on the wooden ramp that has a big open container directly behind it, and roll on backwards to get the squirrel.

Squirrel 13/20 – Power Plant (medium) in Collateral Damage.

When you get to the elevator, let it take you up and then reverse. You’ll fall off the edge of a building and you’ll want to backflip to get as close to the left side of the screen as possible, because that’s where the squirrel is.

Squirrel 14/20 – Swamp Fever (medium) in Collateral Damage.

After passing the second spiked iron ball, you’ll approach a steep slope. At the top of the ramp, bail out and you’ll be flung into the next squirrel.

Squirrel 15/20 – Physics Factory (hard) in Cutting Edge.

When you hit the bouncing platform, you need to put on the brakes and manoeuvre the bike backwards and on to the ramp that will have appeared. Just reverse on over it and pick up your squirrel.

Squirrel 16/20 – Around the Ranch (hard) in Cutting Edge.

At the end of the level, stop before the dumpsters (just before te finish line) and put the bike into reverse. You’ll bump into an explosive outhouse and the squirrel is yours. It will help to ease off the throttle as you start the descent down from the tall building that’s the highest point on the map, to give you a little more control when you reach the sweet spot.

Squirrel 17/20 – Redlynx Moto-Jam (hard) in Cutting Edge.

Although this is a hard map, the squirrel is super easy to nab. Right at the start of the  track, bounce on the log pile until some fireworks are set off. Don’t go over the pile! Once the fireworks go off, reverse the bike past the starting line to get the squirrel.

Squirrel 18/20 – Lab Rat (hard) in Cutting Edge.

Land your bike into the pool of water and put on the brakes. Now enter the following, using the D-pad:

↑   ↑   ↓   ↓   ←   →   ←  →  A  X  A  X

You should hear some crazy laser sounds, followed by a screen with a Mario type pipe that you’ll fall in to. Then the squirrel is yours.

Squirrel 19/20 – Under Construction (hard) in Death Valley.

As you approach the building that is part way through construction on this map, head up the beams that scale the side until they start to fall. You’ll notice that the beams you rode up have also collapsed. At this point, reverse back down the way you came and land IN FRONT of the pile of iron girders, but don’t crash! Squirrel #19 is in the bag!

Squirrel 20/20 – Bridge of Trials (hard) in Death Valley.

After you’ve made your way through the building and up the ramp that starts near the surface of the water, hop over the stack of barrels at the top, followed by the 2 smaller ramps and wooden crate, to the checkpoint. Ahead of you will be another 2 small ramps, balanced on some white barrels. At the highest end of the second ramp, bail BUT KEEP Y PRESSED DOWN. Your rider should grab hold of  dangling zipline, at the end of which is the last squirrel.

Here’s part 2 of Maka91Productions guide, detailing the remaining squirrels:

Unyielding II 20G

Finish ‘Rock Steady’ without faulting or changing your rider’s posture.

Event: Terminal Velocity

Race: Rock Steady

Bike: Scorpion 450cc (recommended)

Feathering is your friend on this track when it comes to the breaks and the throttle. With no time constraints, take it easy and make sure you reverse before big jumps, to help build up enough speed to land on the back end of your bike, otherwise your bike will be more than likely to flip.

Practice makes perfect so keep at it!
