War changes. As technology gets better, the weapons that we use for war get deadly, and more proficient. What if the technology fell into the wrong hands? This is the question asked in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
The team over at Treyarch decided to place the world of COD: Black Ops 2 in the year 2025. Because of the time change, war is now fought with advance robotics, instead of more human based troops. The technology is based of the stuff we have today, but enhanced to tell a better story.
The story in Black Ops 2 is based on what you do in the game. The choice you make as a character will say if people live or die, making you feel more immersed in the world. The story of Black Ops seems to leave the Cold War, and take the war into a brand new arena, a War on American Soil. Treyarch has said that characters from the Black Ops franchise will be available, so hopefully Viktor Reznov is still alive.
Multiplayer is getting an upgrade to allow players a lot more freedom while playing. Instead of having set Classes, in Black Ops, players will be able to create their own custom classes, which will allow them to play different styles. This will make games played more intriguing, giving every experience unique to whom you face in different scenarios, depending on how the Classes fit each player.
Zombies mode is coming back, and it could be better than ever. The map will be more expansive and the will be more choice for a player to do, which could make a great mode even better.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 looks to be stepping its game up with this incarnation to the Call of Duty franchise. With the future setting, revamping of the multiplayer, and the expansion of Zombies mode, Black Ops 2 future doesn’t look black, it looks bright.
