Mark your calendars, Sony fans! Super Smash…er, Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale hits store shelves October 23, 2012. Assuming the boys at SuperBot Entertainment avoid a delay, that leaves us just about four months before we can duke it out across some of Playstation’s biggest franchises. No price has been announced, though we imagine it will be the standard $59.99 USD for the PS3 and Vita versions.

With a release date set, pre-order bonuses for the game have also been revealed. Pre-ordering the game will net players some snazzy alternate costumes for in-game characters. Check out this screenshot for a look at the fighters rocking their alternative styles.

Some alternate costumes for the All-Stars roster. Most notable are the Deimos skin for Kratos and the Big Daddy’s look, which resembles the Little Sisters’ dolls.

“But what about those questions marks?” you ask. Well, those are two new characters recently unveiled at EVO 2012. First off, Tekken‘s Heihachi Mishima will be joining the All-Stars frey. As the PS2′s exclusive character for Soul Calibur 2, his inclusion makes sense, and his fast martial arts combos will make him a worthy contendor. Joining him is Toro Inoue, Playstation’s cat mascot (cat-scot?) in Japan. With his ability to switch combat styles on the fly, he’ll give players a run for their money in All-Stars.

Finally, a new stage was revealed. This stage combines Chop Chop Master Onion’s dojo from PaRappa the Rapper with a fortress from Killzone, which we totally sort of predicted. The new stage can be seen below, along with the new fighters.

Toro lays into Heihachi in the new stage. The dojo falls away to reveal a walking fortress from Killzone.

As we said before, Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale hits store shelves October 23. Until then, keep it locked here at Front Towards Gamer for updates on characters, stages, and anything else SuperBot Entertainment wants to let slip.
