The Last Story Gets a US Release Date and Pre-Order Bonus

Pining fans were satiated when The Last Story was announced for US shores, and now we have an official release date. While Japan has enjoyed Hironobu Sakaguchi’s latest masterpiece since January of last year, US gamers will finally be able to delve into the Wii-only JRPG on August 14, 2012. The title will retail at $49.99, a decent bit less than a standard game price. Not only that, but each copy is considered “limited edition” and comes with custom packaging and an art book. But that’s not all…

soundtrack, pre-order, bonus, 7 track

Pictured above is a 7-track Last Story soundtrack with songs composed by Nobuo Uematsu, the man who’s composed an incredible amount of quality music for video games since 1985. Pre-order The Last Story at Amazon.com, EB Games Canada, or GameStop, and you’ll get it for free.

A free soundtrack just for pre-ordering, custom packaging, and an art book – these are things usually saved for special editions, but you can get it all with The Last Story for just a pre-order and a $49.99 purchase. When deals like this come along, it’s just stupid to pass them up. If you’ve been anticipating this JRPG, do yourself a favor and pre-order the game before the August release.
