I love shooting undead like creatures in the face for hours and hours. Therefore, I enjoy Killing Floor a lot. Especially during their “Christmas Event” last year when you faced demonic versions of your favorite Christmas characters. This year Killing Floor has announced that the “Summer Slideshow” is back and with new things to shoot at, new places to shoot stuff, and new guns to shoot at said new stuff and new area.
Starting off the fresh new DLC for the event is a new map called Hellride which puts players through a carnival ride through Heaven and Hell. No word on whether or not this ride actually has loops in it or if it features a soundtrack of nothing but songs from the band Heaven and Hell has been said yet. Up next is five brand new weapons to shoot dudes with. These weapons were part of the IJC community weapon pack and have been polished up and made an official part of the game now. Steampunk Mr. Frost will be able to be unlocked during the duration of this event as well. All this is free for anyone who has bought Killing Floor already. Another DLC pack of characters will be released as well, dubbed Urban Nightmare Crew.
Finally to top it all off, they are introducing Harold Lott, a tribute to the whole Loadsamoney generation and bastion of 1980s taste. Apparently, you can run around shouting “money, money, money” in game while leaving a trail of dosh (aka cash) all over the place. With the event achievements back in place plus nine brand new ones to unlock, there is no reason not to jump back into Killing Floor right now. I have to admit Tripwire knows exactly how to bring me back into this game every time they do events like this. Now if you will excuse me I need to look up a sound board of nothing but monster truck phrases to get my “Sunday Sunday Sunday” fill now.
