Reverb Publishing’s upcoming PC multiplayer game Primal Carnage pits dinosaurs against human mercenaries in an all out kill or be killed brawl. The onscreen action solidifies the name perfectly, as dinosaurs both big and small run around and try to snack on the humans, who are also doing their share of running plus some gunning. It is set to have several classes to choose from, and Reverb Publishing has revealed two of those classes in a new trailer: The Pyromaniac for the mercenaries, and the Carnataurus for the dinosaurs.
The trailer showcases both classes and how they are utilized on the battlefield. Both characters are played and viewed very differently. The Pyromaniac is played from the first-person perspective while the Carnosaurus is played from third-person, allowing for a better view of the beast as they attack. As you probably guessed, the Pyromaniac’s main weapon of choice is his flamethrower (which also has a mini chainsaw on it for close range), along with some grenades for the longer ranged enemies. Medium range with the flamethrower is definitely his specialty, and it doesn’t look like he strays from it to often. The Carnosaurus, on the other hand, is much more in your face, literally. This dinosaur is many times the size of any human on the screen and can knock you for a loop across the arena as it rams into you, or just shred you with its many sharp teeth. It’s sides seem quite vulnerable, though. Watch your flanks.
Primal Carnage is due on on PC sometime in August.
