Check out the War of the Roses Behind-the-Scenes Odyssey

War of the Roses, Paradox Interactive, videos

In anticipation of the upcoming War of The Roses on PC, Paradox released the first of a series of behind-the-scenes videos. The series follows senior producer Gordon Van Dyke and lead designer Mårten Stormdal as they explore real life locations from the game. In the first episode, they explore the town of St. Albans in England. We get to see them study up for making War of the Roses by trying on actual armor from that time period, practicing horseback riding, and some swordplay.

After going over what the War of the Roses was all about, they show off a clock tower in St. Albans that’s in the game. They joke about they had to enlarge the door (which is about 4 feet high in real life) and make it wide enough that you can swing a sword in it. They also give a nice shot from the interior.
