Unless you’ve been living under a rock in the gaming community for the past month, Ouya has practically been a term on everyone’s mind since its impressive (and still going strong) Kickstarter project.
Square-Enix have realized what Ouya is capable of and have decided to jump aboard the launch train with Final Fantasy III joining the new Android based console. Final Fantasy III has already been ported to various Android devices last month, so this wouldn’t be a huge undertaking for them, and it also helps them establish themselves on the new system.
Although Square-Enix have ensured they’re going to optimize the new version for the new console, so no worries of a half-assed port!
This is, quite frankly, great news for Final Fantasy fans and those a bit hesitant about Ouya.
Now, all they have to do is port Final Fantasy VI to Ouya, and I’ll buy two!
So let us at Front Towards Gamer know, is this a system seller for you as it might be for others? Let us know in the comments below, along with any other Sqaure-Enix titles you’d like to see join FF III!
(Anyone who mentions FF VII will be immediately fired out of a cannon into the sun)
