Finally the gaming elite will be able to experience The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s first expansion, Dawnguard, as it is now available on Steam for the generous price of $19.99.
In Dawnguard, the Vampire Lord Harkon returns with the intention of destroying the sun. If he succeeds, the unimaginable will happen, as vampires will freely be able to roam the world. It’s up to the Dovahkiin to join the Dawnguard to defeat him, or see his plan through as you slaughter the Dawnguard in the name of your vampiric master. Dawnguard adds an all-new faction questline, new locations, weapons, creatures, and more to the game. Most notably, it gives you the power to become a Vampire Lord. Who doesn’t want to let their destructive side take hold and slaughter a few goats in the name of the Dark Lord?
Our very own BrooksClarke reviewed Dawnguard when it came out last month for the Xbox 360 and felt it was a welcome addition to vanilla Skyrim.
I can’t wait to finally be able to dive back into Skyrim with a purpose other than slaughtering the random chicken that I happen to stumble upon in my directionless travels. Being a prince of darkness myself, naturally I will become a Vampire Lord. Which side are you going to choose?
