Looks like early adopters of the Wii U will be able to play Mass Effect 3 straight away. EA recently announced that the final installment in Sheperd’s trilogy will be a launch title for the Wii U when it hits stores this holiday season.
This version will include not only a new control scheme that takes advantage of the Wii U’s special gamepad, but also multiplayer, as well as bonus DLC including the Extended Cut. Mass Effect 3 for the Wii U will also allow players to play interactive backstories for the original Mass Effect and its sequel, Mass Effect 2. These interactive sequences will allow you to make decisions from the previous games so that your ME3 playthrough can be affected by them.
