Namco Bandai’s American branch announced One Piece: Pirate Warriors, for Playstation Network, and Thundercats, a game based on the new animated series, for the DS will come out on September 25 on their respective platforms in North America and September 21 in Europe.
According to Game Informer, players will fight as Lion-O and Mumm-Ra in the Thundercats game based on the rebooted Cartoon Network version of the show. In One-Piece, players will take control of the main character Luffy, as well as other members of his pirate crew. One Piece is based on the franchise that originated in 1997 via the mind of Eiichiro Oda and has spread to anime and manga. The game will be a side-scroller with online multiplayer modes to accompany its single-player campaign.
