According to evidence gathered by Blizzard’s security team, hackers gained access to their internal networks, potentially getting access to e-mail addresses, personal security question answers, mobile authenticator info and cryptographically scrambled Battle.net passwords. The company is confident that the hackers have not been able to access financial or credit card information as well as real names and addresses.
Despite Blizzard’s advanced anti-hacking measures, they still strongly reccomend users change their passwords to avoid any potential issues. Players will have a chance to change their personal security questions in the near future, whereas the mobile authenticator will be automatically updated.
