Operation Supply Drop FAST MOVER Care Package Request from Afghanistan!

Our last care package, the joint one with Epic Games, codenamed CRIMSON OMEN took entirely too long to get pushed down range.  Six weeks from announcement to my going to the post office?  Unacceptable!  Okay, maybe I’m doing this in my spare time and between being sick and having to visit the inlaws last weekend…

However, if my time in the military taught me anything, it’s that the “maximum effective range of an excuse is zero meters” (I’ll let that sink in for you civilians out there).  So we’ll make up for it this time and push this next care package out with a quickness!

Code named: FAST MOVER, the plan is to get this package out the door in three weeks as opposed to the typical four that it takes from announcement to post office.  Oh, and FAST MOVER is military jargon for a fixed wing strike aircraft (get it? They MOVE FAST.  Ah, military humor).

Hey, you know all your Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3s and Battlefield 3s where you get a Spectre gunship as a care package?  Well, this time, we’re delivering a care package to a Spectre gunship (ha, ha, boy, I’m on a real tear this morning)!

While an AC-130 Spectre gunship isn’t exactly a “fast mover” in the military definition of the word, the care package recipient Corey is an Air Force gunship operator stationed overseas in Afghanistan.  Where in Afghanistan?  Anywhere those birds can reach and provide devastating amounts of 130mm death and destruction to the Taliban, Al Qa’ida, the Haqqani Network, Tehrik-e-Taliban or any other rag tag group of guys who have the nerve to pick up a Kalashnikov, shoulder fired rocket or mortar tube against Coalition Forces.

Okay, enough waving the flag, let’s get on with the request!

My name is Corey.  I am currently on my third deployment in Afghanistan with the Air Force.  I’m a Sensor Operator on the AC-130.  We will be here for the foreseeable future! My fellow squadron members and I are constantly deployed (and have been non stop since 2001), and our game selection leave a lot to be desired!  I know everyone here would really appreciate some new stuff to play!  Here is some stuff that our guys (and gals) would love to play:

-We need about 6 controllers to make full use of our Xboxs
-Any version of Halo
-Any version of Call of Duty
-Madden, NCAA, NBA, any sports game really
-Borderlands
-Any of the newer Assassin’s Creed games
-Skyrim
-Max Payne 3
-The Xbox’s we have out here are the 4 GB versions, so we don’t have room to save anything!  A couple of hard drives for the newer style Xboxs would be amazing.

These are the only games I’ve really gotten by name, but obviously anything would be appreciated!!  I want to thank you firstly for your service, and secondly for this awesome charity that you have set up.  Thank you for everything that you have sacrificed and done!  Attached are some pictures in action, and of me with one of the guns.  Thanks again!

Well, well!  They already have a pair of Xboxes (is the proper plural for “Xbox” Xboxes?) and just need controllers, hard drives, and games?  Six controllers and a pair of hard drivers are still no cheap date, but it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than full consoles!
