Mad Catz had a pre-Gamescom event in Cologne showing off a few of their products, including: the Tritton Warhead 7.1 wireless headset, the Major League Gaming Pro Circuit controller, the S.T.R.I.K.E 7 gaming keyboard, the wireless force feedback Racing Wheel and the Pacific AV8R Flightstick packaged with their game Damage Inc. which you can read about here.

Tritton Warhead 7.1 Wireless Headset
The Tritton Warhead 7.1 headset is the first Xbox 360 exclusive gaming headset that is 100 percent wireless. Where other headsets need you to plug in an adapter into the USB port of your console, this pair directly connects to your 360 the same way a controller does.
The headset is very comfortable and has great 7.1 surround sound audio with no quality lost through wireless connection. It comes with two battery packs and a dock to charge the headset while not in use. The features include an equaliser, separate voice and game volume control and a detachable mic. The audio on this headset is great and a must-have for any gamers or audio buffs looking for a wireless gaming headphone solution.

Major League Gaming Pro Circuit Controller
The Pro Circuit controller is the official MLG sponsored controller that allows for the ultimate customisation. The model I tried was for the Xbox 360, but it’s also available for the PS3 with all the same features.
The biggest point with this controller that separates it from others is its customisation. Almost everything is customisable. The texture of the controller, the the texture of the analog sticks, the kind of d-pad, the position of the analog sticks and d-pad and the color for all of them. The controller faceplate and top of the grips can be changed to a matte or glossy finish in several different colors. Removing them reveals the analog sticks and d-pad which are interchangeable, and the thumbstick grips can be replaced with different textures and colors. The feel of the controller was good and sturdy despite a lot of it being removable, and apart from the fiddly d-pad, all parts were easily removable without much fuss.
The MLG Pro Circuit controller will be perfect for PS3/360 cross platform gamers or any gamers that are interested in fine tuning the feel of their controller.

S.T.R.I.K.E 7 Gaming Keyboard
The S.T.R.I.K.E 7 is a keyboard meant for hardcore PC gamers, with comfortable hand rests, customizable WASD/directional keys, a detachable numpad to place anywhere you like and an OLED touchscreen with up to 72 programmable macros which can be placed on the main keyboard or numpad.
As with the MLG Pro Circuit controller, this keyboard is all about customisation and PC gamers that endure MMOs or any long gaming sessions are really going to appreciate it. With long hauls of gaming, comfortability is key and the S.T.R.I.K.E 7 offers just that with the customisation.

Wireless Force Feedback Racing Wheel
Mad Catz also showed off their wireless force feedback Racing Wheel with Forza 4, and I have to say that it was one of the best racing wheels I’ve tried out.
It comes complete with a flappy paddle gearbox, as well as the option for a manual gearshift, console controls on the wheel itself and a separate panel with the foot pedals. The force feedback was great and pitch perfect, steering was extremely responsive and the acceleration/braking was super precise. I’ve played Forza before and love it, but this racing wheel makes the gameplay a lot more immersive and exciting.
If there are any racing game fans out there looking to further your experience, this is definitely the piece of equipment for you.
