North America Welcomed to Tokyo Jungle on Sept 25

There are plenty of things you can say about the way Sony handles their PlayStation business, but one of them definitely isn’t that they’re too conservative in the games they choose to publish. The latest example is Tokyo Jungle, where animals have taken over a dystopian future Tokyo, in which humans are nowhere to be seen.

Tokyo Jungle has been available in Japan since June, but will finally be making its way over to North America, and will be available for download on the PlayStation Store on Sept 25t for $14.99.

The game has two modes, according to the PlayStation Blog. Story Mode allows you to play as over 50 different animals, “ranging from Pomeranians to Lions” in a struggle for survival. There’s also Survival Mode, in which “you will hunt, occupy territories, and produce offspring to secure future generations and resist extinction.”

That all sounds weird, so hopefully this trailer clears things up:
