When Rockstar Games released new Grand Theft Auto V screenshots on Monday, they also stated that there would be “more to come this week.” That time is apparently today, as they’ve released three more images in a post titled “Leisure” over on their official website. Once again, the images are the focus, but unlike Monday’s “Transport” post there’s no accompanying text. This might mean that this is the end of the GTA V news blast for now, but we’re still holding out hope for a new trailer by the end of the week.
But that’s enough chit-chat. You can check out the new screenshots below, and once again we’ll be taking a closer look at what we see, because journalism.
Unprecedented! This image is totally unlike anything we’ve ever seen, if you’re not including the nearly identical shot of a bicycle released on Monday. But that’s OK! What’s being portrayed looks like fun — three people (look closely), presumably racing dirtbikes up a mountain. Maybe it’s another wacky racing mission, or maybe it’s a few friends playing together online. Cool beans either way.
It’s also worth noting that the person in the back is wearing spotless clothing, while the person adjacent has dirt caked onto their threads. It’s been a long time since we’ve been impressed with Grand Theft Auto visually, so this is nice!
It seems that GTA V is slowly making a return to the crazy antics that so many thought was missing from 2008′s Grand Theft Auto IV, as shown by this random dude just parachuting through a river canyon in his street clothes like it’s no big deal.
On a technical level, this probably won’t blow anyone away. The draw distance seems pretty good, but the rock faces and trees leave a little to be desired. It’s still early, though, even if we don’t know how early just yet. Either way, it looks like GTA V will be making its way onto PS3s and Xbox 360s just fine.
Finally, here’s a shot of some rich-ass dudes playing tennis at an enormous house in the hills. What makes this screenshot so interesting is…we’re not entirely sure. It’s pretty much just two guys playing tennis. Maybe it’ll be a time waster not unlike GTA IV‘s bowling, billiards, and darts, although tennis would probably require more finesse to make work in an open-world game.
Tennis.
So that’s six new screenshots in three days for Grand Theft Auto V – which is your favorite? Let us know!
