Gamescom 2012 Awards: Best Downloadable

Gamescom 2012 awards

As memory gets cheaper and internets get faster, we are starting to find more and more higher quality downloadable games which can more than compete with the big boys of the AAA. Gamescom 2012 had a fair share of great high-quality games which you can download and enjoy in no time, with the best one being…

hawken

Hawken

It’s just amazing what a small team of people managed to create in such a short time. The game looks like a AAA title and really gives the player the feeling of being inside a mech like no other game before. Each mech felt unique and completely different, and despite some of these machines feeling bulky and slow, the game was fast and frantic. We had a blast playing it at Gamescom, and we know many more will have a blast playing it when it releases on December 12.

Honorable Mention:

firefall

Firefall

More downloadable F2P goodness, Firefall is looking to change the way we see free-to-play MMOs. Don’t miss out on this one!
