Remember that lovely game about that lovable kid who goes to a camp for psychics and goes running through the minds of some sinister people? Well if you don’t (you horrible person), now is your chance to rectify that mistake, as Psychonauts is coming to your PlayStation 3. Chris Remo, community manager for Double Fine Productions, announced that Psychonauts will be available for download as a PS2 Classic on August 28.
While there has been a tidal wave of fan outcry over the years to bring Psychonauts to us once again on our current consoles, Chris Remo chalks the long wait up to lack of status. As he put it, “To truly become a PlayStation 2 Classic, we wanted to ensure Psychonauts had all the time it needed to grow into its status as a classic.” Luckily, Double Fine now feels Psychonauts has reached this high status and is ready for a relaunch.
Look for Psychonauts on the PlayStation Store, under the PS2 Classics section, on August 28.
