No one expected Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to actually end the MGS saga. No one expected Reveangance to end it, either. Now, Konami has revealed 10 minutes of the next chapter in the MGS storyline – Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. Spoiler alert: no one expects this to be the last one either.
Let’s take a look at said footage.
This appears to be the start of the game, perhaps even the opening cinematic. Big Boss is revealed in full as the playable character, and the villain (who we’ll refer to as “melty-face guy from Raiders of the Lost Ark“) can also be seen. Perhaps the biggest reveal, however, is that what you’ve been watching all along was not a pre-rendered cut scene, but actual in-engine footage, as the switch to gameplay shows no drop in graphical quality. This is due to the new FOX engine, which series auteur Hideo Kojima has been touting.
We’re very excited to see more of what Ground Zeroes has to offer. Keep it locked here at Front Towards Gamer as we share every last detail that trickles down to us.
