In the past, Super Jump World ripped off the Mario Bros. formula on the iOS. If you read our review, you know it wasn’t up to par. But what’s the next logical step in the art of ripping off the Italian plumbers? Aping Super Mario 3D Land, of course.
We’re going to be blunt: what we’ve seen of 3D Cartoon Land: Safari looks bad. First of all, the character looks like Mario and Raggedy Ann’s bastard child. Second, Cartoon Land appears to be running smoothly on Windows 98…except it’s 2012, and this game is for iOS devices. Finally, dear God, could this rip-off be any more blatant? At least Super Jump World changed up a few items to put something of a spin on the Mario Bros. formula; Cartoon Land has coins, Goombas, Koopas – you name it.
We’ll save full impressions until we review (ugh…) this game, but for now it’s safe to say it looks like unfiltered crap. In the mean time, head over to it’s page on the App Store, if you dare. Or don’t. That’s probably better.
