Ravaged is a vehicular first person shooter by independent developer 2 Dawn Games. Just remember, independent doesn’t mean new. This team has had their hands in Battlefield, DesertCombat and Frontlines. They decided to take their newest game straight to the people who would be interested in it and held a Kickstarter for it where they more than doubled their goal. It isn’t hard to see why when the game they are trying to make is “Mad Max meets Battlefield“. While they may have used Kickstarter to fund the end of their project, 2 Dawn Games realizes the importance of the program and has vowed to return 5% of all the sales of the finished project back into Kickstarter to help others with their goals.
Ravaged is an all multiplayer game featuring 8×8 up to 32×32 battles. That’s right, you and most of your steam list can squad up and still only be one team. They have announced that there will be at least eight maps to play the two game modes on. The Capture the Resource mode is pretty self explanatory, you take the other teams resources while protecting your own. The Thrust mode has you capturing areas on the map to score points, the longer you hold them the more points you get. But what makes this game different than the average FPS? From the start everything is unlocked. All 30 cars, every gun and all 10 character classes. You don’t have to grind through to level up you gun just to get a perk you wanted or open a slot to attach something you may never use. Everything you can use in the game is there from the get go.
If you have gotten this far then you must be interested and wondering how you can get your hands on one of these beta codes. Entering is simple, just go to the form below and fill it out completely making sure to read it carefully (you don’t want to be left out because you forgot something). The giveaway will end on Wednesday, September 26th. Good luck.
