Happy Monday to you and yours, and happy Columbus Day! While most normal folks were out seeing Looper in the theaters this weekend, I got an advance copy of Arkane Studio’s damn stealth action masterpiece Dishonored. I locked myself in my mancave and put in some work; as someone who will reload back to the previous checkpoint upon being discovered in a stealth game, I found myself getting quite good with some of the opening sequences having repeated them over and over again. I also try to use non-lethal options over the “guns blazing” approach.
The mammoth Kingsparrow Island, the final mission of the game where you avenge both yourself and the Empress? Somewhat simple once you figure out a way to get in. Well…not “simple” per se. It’s almost like Dishonored gives you far too many options and side objectives to keep you busy and away from the main goal.
So, I present to you, a day before the game launches in America, the final level of the game, completed in seven and a half minutes without being detected and my not having to kill any guards! Pretty damn good; the crazy thing is that if I had used all of my sleep darts and all of my mana elixirs to power bomb “Time Stop” a few extra times, I would have cleared it even faster! Craziness.
Please to enjoy!
