Just because the Vita is going strong (sarcasm) doesn’t mean Sony has stopped putting out new versions of its predecessor, the PSP. The newest model is themed after One Piece, one of the world’s top manga franchises. If that franchise is unknown to you, here’s a three-word summary: X-men meets pirates. Seriously.
Aside from the usual cords and battery packs, the bundle also includes a PSP decked out in One Piece art, featuring a skull themed after each member of the Strawhat pirates crew. You’ll also snag a copy of One Piece: Romance Dawn, the latest game in the One Piece franchise. The whole package comes in a box featuring some great art from the manga.
Romance Dawn is turn-based RPG set in the One Piece universe. The game follows the East Blow story arch up through the Marineford story arch (sorry, we know that was nerdy). That should interest fans of the manga, and the interest of general manga fans just might pique as well. Of course, if you never picked up a PSP and still want to, this just might be the one for you.The bundle hasn’t been announced for North America yet, but with the immense global popularity of One Piece, we imagine it will dock its ship here too.
