Sniper Elite V2 DLC Arrives, Both Paid and Free

Sniper Elite V2

Article by FTG contributor Michael Jones.

Sniper Elite V2′s  developer Rebellion Development distributed free and paid downloadable content to the PC version on Wednesday via Steam. The download delivers new maps, new weapons, and a new mission.

Sniper Elite V2‘s first free DLC brings the Neudorf Outpost map, which you may remember as last month’s paid single-player DLC, as well as two new multiplayer modes: Dog Tag Harvest and Team Dog Tag Harvest. In these modes, you’ll have to confirm your kills by picking up dog tags from dead enemies, akin to the Kill Confirmed mode featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The paid DLC for Sniper Elite V2, titled The Landwehr Canal Pack, will include a new mission in which you’ll take to the streets of Berlin in the dead of night to assassinate three German generals. You’ll need to think up strategies to take out each one, giving you a chance to formulate and choose how to go about assassinating the unlucky generals. This DLC will also feature several new weapons: two snipers, the Lee Enfield Mk. III and the Japanese Type 99, as well as the MP44 submachine gun.  This will cost £2.99, or about $4.
