This is it, the Wii‘s last hurray before the Wii U lands into our homes this holiday season. Appearing in store shelves on November 4th, 14 days before the launch of its successor the Wii U, are two bundles targeted for the casuals. For the $129.99 bundle, you get the system (duh) and Just Dance 4, finally replacing Wii Sports.
The $149.99 bundle gives you a copy of Skylanders Giants with the portal, and three figures for the newest title. Oh and an EXCLUSIVE “Giant” Skylander for this bundle only.
Not a bad price, if you’re not one of the many clamoring for the next shiny thing to cross our eyes. However, with the news of the Wii U supporting games on the Wii and not GameCube titles, it’s good to know there’s a cheap alternative to solve our Wind Waker and Smash Bros Melee fixes.
It’s ingenious of Nintendo to package new high profile games to a system every casual player probably already has or traded in. With the news of Skylanders becoming the next plastic sensation, the exclusive “giant” figure forces the paycheck out of a couple of Skylander collectors. Actually, come to think about it, more like a thousand collectors. Wow for $150? Really? Is Activision teaching you how to make money Nintendo?
