In the world of WWE, there has been a revolution going on. Taking away from the status quo, guys who have become known as wrestlers around the world are now running the WWE universe. Now, in WWE 13, players around the world can now take part in the Revolution.
Let’s take the current WWE Heavyweight champion, CM Punk. A year ago, CM Punk came out and said that he wanted to change the WWE and take away the focus from guys like John Cena, and bring it back to guys like him. The cover superstar of WWE 13 took the title from Cena at Money in the Bank last year and has been on a whirlwind run since. Whether it was the Mexican Aristocrat Alberto Del Rio or Y2J Chris Jericho, CM Punk has taken on all comers to prove that he is worthy of being a great champion. However, Punk has yet to get the respect that he has fought for. Now the plucky champion from Chicago has to go through Cena to get the respect he feels that he deserves.

Then you have the former World Heavyweight Champion, the Great White Sheamus. The tough Irishman has run through the Smackdown roster, taking on guys the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio and Daniel Bryan. Though Sheamus may have lost his title to the Big Show, he has proven to be one of the toughest wrestlers to ever step foot in the WWE.
Though this era has been a tough one, it seems like the present and future will always be compared to the Attitude Era. Even the two wrestlers talked about are always being compared to the champions of that era. CM Punk will constantly be compared to Stone Cold Steve Austin. Though they have so many differences (one is a huge a drinker while the other is straight edge), the two wrestlers have so many similarities. Both CM Punk and Austin have had their careers helped by Paul Hayman, and both men have fought the establishment of the WWE. Sheamus with is attitude of fighting is reminiscent of Triple H, as a big guy who just loves a fight. This year in WWE 13, the comparisons can now be put to the test as you can now have CM Punk and Sheamus of today’s era fight Austin and Triple H, as the Revolution allows this generation to take on the greatest from the Attitude Era.

Speaking of the Attitude Era, Kane has been a main stay in the WWE since then. Kane, who is known as the big red machine, was once the monster of the WWE during the Attitude Era. Hearing his music and seeing the ring turn red put fear into the hearts of members of the WWE roster. Now he still gives wrestlers the shivers, but now he teams with Daniel Bryan, who invokes his own dose of fear, but now it’s the fear of being forced to tap out.

This year, WWE 13 looks to be one of the biggest wrestling games to ever hit store shelves. Finally, wrestling fans will be able to fight with their favorite wrestling superstars from both the Attitude Era and today’s current roster. We can now see great matches from Dolph Ziggler vs. Billy Gunn or the Funkasaurs Brodus Clay vs. the Godfather. So what great matches will you create? Who will you have fight between the two Eras? How will you start your Revolution? Be sure to tell @WWEGames and tweet them #WWE13.
