Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale – How to Use Every Super Move

playstation all-stars: battle royale, gameguide, super moves

Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale has 20 characters for you to use, and each has three super moves. That’s a total of 60 attacks for you to master in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale. This guide will help you do just that.

Super moves in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale come in three levels and many varieties. Level 1 supers are typically unidirectional, and they require timing to be used effectively. Level 2  supers can change your movement or affect a certain area. Level 3 supers can give you total control over the battlefield, sometimes even clearing the screen. Whatever the level or type of attack, we’ll help you use every super Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale has to offer to its fullest potential.

Kratos

Level 1: Divine Fury — One of the simpler Level 1 supers in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, this attack sends Kratos forward while swinging his Blades of Chaos. Keep a short-to-medium distance from your target to ensure a hit.

Level 2: Divine Reckoning — This creates a tall tornado when Kratos stabs the ground, and it can kill those immediately next to and above it. Use it in the middle of a group of fighters, or drop to the platform below a fighter for best use.

Level 3: Rage of the Gods — Kratos grabs the Blade of Olympus, enabling one-hit kills. Though it’s best used in a small stage, use this attack and simply chase your targets to net some kills.

PaRappa

Level 1: Romantic Karate — This attack effects the area immediately in front of you, plus a little part of the air at an upper 45-degree angle. Use it immediately next to an opponent or when caddy-cornered to an opponent on a slightly higher ledge.

Level 2: Skater Boy — PaRappa will ride around on his skateboard for a time. Chase down enemies for one-hit kills.

Level 3:Doom Box ft. PaRappa!!! — This is a screen-clearing move, of which  Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale has plenty. Use it whenever for three instant kills.

Fat Princess

Level 1: Feed Me Cake! — Fat Princess will charge across the field for a few feet. Use when you’re a short-to-medium distance from an opponent for best effect.

Level 2: Ride the Chicken! — One of the better Level 2 supers in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, Fat Princess will ride a chicken around the battlefield. Chase down opponents and attack for instant kills.

Level 3: Protect the Princess! — This isn’t quite a screen-clearer, but it’s close. Soldiers will appear and dash all over the screen, insta-killing enemies. It’s good to use when your opponents are spread across the battlefield.

Sweet Tooth

Level 1: TNT Tag — Sweet Tooth will tag a character with explosives and kick them away. You’ll only attack an opponent immediately in front of you, but if you can launch that opponent into another, the explosion will net you a double kill.

Level 2: Death by Missile — One the best Level 2 supers in  Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, this launches a missile that you can then control with the thumbstick. Aim at enemies for instant kills. Sweet Tooth is invincible while steering the missile, so don’t worry about interference.

Level 3: The Rise of Mecha Tooth — Sweet Tooth hops inside his mech suit. Use your attacks to fire the chaingun wherever you’re aiming, launch missiles above you, or stomp the area at your feet. All of these mean instant kills.

Radec

Level 1: StA-X3 W.A.S.P. Launcher — One of the best Level 1 supers in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, Radec aims his launcher at opponents. Move the reticle at your desired target and fire. Be aware: the missle will detonate if it hits any obstacles, so make sure you have a clear shot.

Level 2: StA-5X Arc Cannon — In another solid Level 2 super in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, Radec fires a thick laser across the field. This covers a large distance, so lining up multiple opponents shouldn’t be too difficult. The laser is thick enough to hit opponents just off the ground as well.

Level 3: StA-X6 Jetpack — Radec hops into his jetpack and rains shots across the arena. Aim the reticle and go nuts with the trigger – you have unlimited ammo during this time.

Sly Cooper

Level 1: Unstoppable Ally — Murray will appear and charge forward. This only covers a short-to-medium distance, so get decently close to an opponent to line up the attack.

Level 2: Flying Raccoon — Another solid Level 2 super in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale,Sly hops into his jetpack and hovers above the field. You have unlimited bombs to drop during this time, so fly around and spam those buttons to rain instant kills on the battlefield below.

Level 3: Recon Sly and His Targets — Sly pulls out his binoculars and surveys the battlefield. This works just like a turret, so aim at opponents and snap pictures for as many instant kills as you can.

Nathan Drake

Level 1: Propane Tank — This is one of the trickiest Level 1 supers in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale. Drake will arch a propane tank a medium-to-far distance across the battlefield, then fire his pistol to explode it. Back away from the fight to use this effectively, and be careful – Drake is vulnerable during the whole attack. One hit, and it’s canceled.

Level 2: Stone Pillar — Drake will topple over a large pillar. This covers a short-to-medium distance in front of him, so line up the attack with a group of enemies for best effect.

Level 3: El Dorado Sarcophagus — During this attack, all enemies transform into monsters and become susceptible to one-hit kills. Chase them down and attack to rack up the points.

Cole

Level 1: Human Bullet — Cole will lift an opponent off the ground. Aim left or right to chuck them, and if you can throw them into another opponent, you’ll get an additional kill.

Level 2: Ionic Freeze — Another solid Level 2 super in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, Cole will create a trail of ice spikes, an attack which covers extremely large distances. Line it up with multiple opponents for multiple kills, but be aware – it cannot ascend platforms. Using it in a lower area will cause the ice to stop short, but using it from a higher area will affect platforms below as well.

Level 3: Electric Tornado — This attack lets you control a tornado on the battlefield. Move it around to suck up opponents for instant kills and lots of points.

Evil Cole

Level 1: Human Bullet — This attack works just like normal Cole’s (a bit of a cop-out for the Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale devs). Toss enemies into each other for extra kills.

Level 2: Ionic Drain — This energy unleashing affects a small-to-medium area all around Evil Cole. Use it when in the midst of opponents to get the most kills for your attack.

Level 3: The Beast Awakens! — During this time, Evil Cole can shoot fireballs in the direction he is facing, drop fireballs from above, and even draw opponents toward himself. Go nuts with the attacks here, as they’re all one-hit kills.

Ratchet and Clank

Level 1: RYNO V — Ratchet will fire his weapon a short-to-medium distance in front of him for instant kills, so get near an opponent to line up the shot. The attack lasts a solid second, but take note that it can be stopped if Ratchet is attacked during this time.

Level 2: Clank Goes Commando — Another handy Level 2 super in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, this will give you control of Clank for a limited time. Attacks are instant kills, but Clank can also toss out spheres that slow down opponents. Use these to your advantage to catch them and get additional kills.

Level 3: Flight of the Aphelion — This gives you control over Ratchet’s spaceship. Fire either missile clusters or lasers at opponents for instant kills. You have unlimited ammo during this time, so don’t be afraid to go trigger happy.

Jak and Daxter

Level 1: Precursor Legacy — One of the better Level 1 supers in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, this attack creates a small platform that boosts Jak into the air and insta-kills within very short distances behind and in front of him. Use it when near or surrounded by opponents for best effect.

Level 2: Dark Jak’s Dark Bomb — Jak will hop into the air and smash into the ground, impacting short-to-medium distances around himself. Leap into a group of opponents for a nice chunk of instant kills.

Level 3: Light Jak — Jak transforms, enabling one-hit kills with his various attacks. Use your attacks to smack enemies around and rack up the points.

Big Daddy

Level 1: Little Sister Gather – Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale has a few tricky Level 1 supers, and this is one of them. Big Daddy tosses out a Little Sister, and whoever she touches is instantly killed. Oddly, this attack covers short-to-medium distance, but not the area directly in front of you. Back away from an opponent slightly or toss the Little Sister into a group of opponents to use this effectively.

Level 2: Frenzy — Big Daddy goes on rampage, and all his attacks become one-hit kills. Chase down opponents and lay into them to rack up points.

Level 3: Flood — This will flood the level, forcing your opponents to slowly swim around. Chase them down and attack for instant kills.

Dante

Level 1: Rebellion Triple — Another of the best Level 1 supers in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, this sword combo effects short-to-medium distances in front of Dante. Use it when next to a group of enemies for multiple kills.

Level 2: Stinger — Dante charges a medium-to-large distance across the battlefield. Use this when facing a group for enemies for multiple kills, but be aware that the attack is stopped if you hit an obstacle.

Level 3: Devil Trigger Unleashed — Dante transforms into the white-haired Dante we actually like, turning his regular move set into instant kills. Chase down enemies and attack them to rack up the points.

Heihachi

Level 1: Lightning Hammer — Heihachi attacks a short distance for an instant kill. Get alongside an opponent before unleashing it for best effect.

Level 2: Kuma Tag Team! — Possibly the best Level 2 super Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale has to offer, Heihachi calls in Kuma, who runs around the battlefield independently. Kuma’s attacks are all insta-kills, and you can still play as Heihachi during this time, softening up opponents for the big bear.

Level 3: Rockets Away! — This screen-clearer sends all opponents away on a rocket, and it will net you three instant kills.

Nariko

Level 1: Twing-Twang — Much like Drake’s Level 1 super (and some other odd attacks in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale), this attack sets up a barrel of fireworks a medium-to-large distance from Nariko, which Kai then explodes. Back away from opponents before using this for best effect.

Level 2: Dawn Siege — Nariko hops into a cannon, which can be aimed and rotated for a wide attack range. Fire as many shots as you like during this time (they’re one-hit kills), but watch out – if Nariko is struck during this time, the attack ends.

Level 3: The Goddess — Nariko transforms, giving her blades an incredibly extended reach. Attack opponents for one-hit kills and tons of points.

Raiden

Level 1: Two Hand Top — Possibly the strongest Level 1 super in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, Raiden will spin on his head for a solid second. This affects the immediate area in front of and behind him, so using it when surrounded is a good move.

Level 2: Blade Mode — Raiden’s attacks become one-hit kills for a decent chunk of time. Activate the super when near opponents for the added effect of stunning them.

Level 3: The Box Revengeance — Opponents are trapped in slow-moving boxes, and Raiden’s attacks are once again turned into one-hit kills. Chase down opponents and attack to rack up the points.

Sackboy

Level 1: Costume Clash — This attack affects the area directly in front of, behind, and at an upper 45-degree angle above Sackboy. Use it when near a group of opponents for multiple instant kills.

Level 2: Coal Catastrophe — Sackboy uses the Popit to create a row of coal blocks. Drop this anywhere in the field, and any opponent who touches it will be instantly killed.

Level 3: Prize Bubble Bonus — Possibly the best Level 3 super in all of Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, this attack transforms every enemy into slow-moving bubbles. Touch them to burst the bubble and get a kill. The attack lasts a long time, so you should be able to chase down plenty of opponents and rack up the points.

Sir Daniel Fortesque

Level 1: Lightning Bolt — This is one of the hardest Level 1 supers to use effectively in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale because it only affects a small area in the upper 45-degree direction Sir Daniel is facing. Launching an opponent with an attack before using it is one of the only ways to actually get a kill. Alternatively, you can drop to a lower platform and line up the appropriate angle for a kill.

Level 2: Golden Chalice  – Though he’s tough to use, Sir Daniel’s Level 2 super is actually one of the best Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale has to offer. This attack unleashes a vertical beam of energy and some puffs of energy that home in on opponents. Use it when on a lower platform to strike enemies above, then let the homing energy do its job, which is to get you some additional kills.

Level 3: Anubis Stone — Sir Daniel will carry the Anubis Stone about the battlefield, creating a large energy sphere. This sphere will kill any enemy found in it for a few moments. Chase after opponents to align them with the sphere and net yourself some kills.

Spike

Level 1: Monkey Net — Spike will attack the area immediately in front of him for an instant kill. Get right next to an opponent before using the attack to guarantee a hit.

Level 2: Sword Frenzy — This attack sends Spike a large distance across the battlefield, blade-first. Line it up with multiple opponents for a bunch of instant kills.

Level 3: Super Lazer Cannon — One of the simplest Level 3 supers in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, this screen-clearing satellite laser will net you three instant kills.

Toro Inoue

Level 1: Kuro is so mean >.< — Kuro will push Toro a short-to-medium distance across the battlefield. Line this up with a group of enemies for multiple one-hit kills.

Level 2: Toro makes a wish o_O — One of the best-looking Level 2 supers in Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, this will send a star crashing into a large area a short distance from Toro, but not the area directly in front of him. Back slightly away from a group of opponents and unleash the attack for best use.

Level 3: Toro’s dream comes true ^o^ — This screen-clearing move nets you three instant kills.
