Skylanders Swap Force Announced, Brings Binary Figures to Combine

Skylanders Swap Force

Skylanders quickly diverted from being a Spyro reboot to another plastic sensation brought to you by the champions of annualized franchises, Activison. In an article by Polygon, Sklanders Swap Force unveils the new novelty to the series, part swapping.

The next big monetary plunge comes in halves, 16 two-part figures with dissembling torsos and bottoms that can be used interchangeably with each other, which means you can create 256 combinations of the 16 new Skylanders. The viewed demo highlighted the newly established strategy of using each of the swapable figures to players’ advantage, for example, by intersecting one’s speed and another’s heavy melee attacks for a devastating one-two.

In addition to the confirmation that 1-48 playable toys accumulated throughout the past two years are compatible with Skylanders Swap Force. Another new feature is jumping, yes it takes three games to finally have an essential action in a platformer, nothing has been said what sort of impact it will have to the level design and gameplay.

Skylanders Swap Force is the third in the ever expansive Skylanders brand, with Vicarious Visions (Activision’s go to studio for mobile development) heading development, rather the original creators of the series, Toys for Bob. There’s no set release date, but expect it to drop this fall to match the previous titles on every console available.
