Indie developer of Compulsion Games reveals a music-based trailer for their upcoming puzzle-platformer of Contrast. “Sultry jazz” as the video description details fills in the backdrop as a little girl and her imaginary friend travel throughout the burlesque world.
One sequence in particular shows off the transition between 3D and shadowy 2D perspective with young girl Didi creating shadows for Dawn to climb onto. A neat gimmick, glossing over typical vaulting and leaping with two levels to traverse in.
To support early adopters, a 25% reduction of price on the collector’s Edition (Game, soundtrack, Artwork, Dev Diary) for $15.
Contrast arrives November 15th on Steam (PC).
