EA Under Investigation Due To Battlefield 4 Issues

Battlefield 4 Lawsuit

EA’s problems since the launch of Battlefield 4 continue to pile up. First there was a bunch of unhappy customers and a lot of crashes, then they announced that they would be putting all expansions on hold until the game’s bugs had been sorted out, and now they are being investigated by the law firm of Holzer Holzer & Fistel, LLC. The investigation is meant to determine whether EA followed federal securities laws between July 24th 2013 and December 4th 2013 in regards to the development and sales of Battlefield 4.

Since the game launched on October 29th 2013, EA has seen a stock price drop of about 19% with a large drop after the announcement of the expansion delays. Holzer Holzer & Fistel, LLC is asking for anyone who “purchased EA common stock between July 24, 2013 and December 4, 2013 and suffered losses on that investment…to contact Holzer Holzer & Fistel, LLC attorney Marshall P. Dees, Esq. via email at mdees@holzerlaw.com, or via toll-free telephone at (888) 508-6832 regarding your legal rights.”

If you haven’t purchased EA stock this might not affect you very much. Hopefully it will help teach publishers not to rush games out without proper testing, but that is a long shot. DICE has already created a tracking page for the bigger issues with Battlefield 4. If you follow that thread you can keep up to date on when bug fixes should be hitting your particular system.
