The sequel to the SNES great Yoshi’s New Island finally comes to shops and eShops on March 14th of this year, from a press release from Nintendo. Prices of Yoshi’s crayon-colored adventure are yet to be announced. However, following the trend of most Nintendo 3DS games, $40 for retail and $34.99 for eShop digital.
The January 10th release by Nintendo also states the creative director of the original Yoshi’s Island (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island), Takashi Tezuka, makes their name known as a producer on New Island including a few reassurances of the original’s gameplay trademarks. “The game is being produced by Takashi Tezuka, the creative director of the original Yoshi’s Island for Super NES. Yoshi reunites with Baby Mario in a gorgeous landscape to help him to safety. Flutter jumps, ground pounds and egg throws all return, along with some new actions that use the unique features of Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo said.
