Take-Two Interactive recently received a letter from UNICO National, an Italian-American service organization, demanding that the publisher delay Mafia II’s release until they are able to take out all references to Italians and Italian-Americans. There is a new study out by comScore that looks at females and their habits pertaining to the Internet and a surprising trend has been revealed. Females over 55 spend as much or more time gaming than the typical male demographic, you know, the ones that tend to kick your butt on XBL. Find out what this means by clicking.

Darkness reigned in Kaneohe, Hawaii when two masked thugs tried to rob an internet gamers center. Thankfully a handful of heroes, who have read too many Batman comics thwarted the evil plan to steal a few bucks and maybe some Yoohoo. Want to read more? Click the link.

I would like to think that Michael Pachter, the infamous Wedbush analyst, is wrong when he says that “(they) expect that somewhere around half of the current 15 million online game players to pay something for premium content,” that’s right 50% of the online gamers would pay for multiplayer. In my book that makes 50% of us gamers stupid. Don’t think so? Click and comment.

Okay, I’ll admit that I’m a little late to the party, but like my old Uncle Fred used to say, “Better late to the party then early to me kicking your @ss.” God, I loved that man. Recently, we just learned that Star Wars: The Old Republic (TOR) will be including “space combat” at release. The news released at Comic-con this month reminded me of a rant that’s been boiling up inside me like free tacos served at the strip club buffet. Read by clicking on the link or slipping a ten into my g-string.

Well thank God…I now know that this Games Journalism hobby of mine is going to pay off. A recent study by the EEDAR/SMU (Electronic Entertainment Design and Media and Southern Methodist University) has found a causal link between the written game review and the readers perception of the game. Well “La Dee Freeking Da” Want to see what I mean? Clicky the article.

In a world where privacy rights are becoming a thing of the past, one might want to think twice about hooking “Big Brother” up in your living room. It seems to me that the one question that should be on everyone’s mind should be how Microsoft is going to guarantee that this technology is not going to lead to some black hat hacker looking into our homes or some Microsoft-core crony peaking into your game room. How much of your privacy are you willing to give up?
