Dead or Alive 5: FTG Review (Xbox 360)

For most gamers, the name Dead or Alive brings to mind two things, neither of which have anything to do with the act of fighting. Dead or Alive 5 doesn’t reinvent the tired and jiggly formula by which DoA has operated, but the now Itagaki-less Team Ninja has added enough gameplay tweaks and …

Killzone Gets HD-ified, Hits PSN Oct 23

Sony recently announced a giant Killzone Trilogy box set, combining all three main entries in the series into a single mega collection. But what if, like any good PS3 owner, you already own the latter two Killzone titles, and just want the PS2 original? No problemo, says Killzone Community Editor Victor Zuylen.

In a Sept 13 …

Expect Plenty of Nintendo at PAX Prime

The Penny Arcade Expo is known more as a chance to meet and greet with various industry luminaries and fellow gamers than as a hardcore trade show (like E3, for example), but that doesn’t mean eager gamers won’t get the opportunity to play some of this fall’s hottest releases before they hit store shelves. …

SteelSeries Launching Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Gear

If I’ve learned anything from my time with Counter-Strike fanatics – strike that – PC gamers in general, it’s that they’re serious about their gear. Apparently, so are the Danish craftsmen over at SteelSeries, because they’ve teamed up with Valve to bring you officially licensed Global Offensive peripherals.

Why buy a mouse named after a deadly …

Battlefield 4 Beta Announced with Warfighter Pre-Order

EA has announced that all pre-orders of the limited edition of Medal of Honor: Warfighter will receive access to the Battlefield 4 beta. What? Oh, and Battlefield 4 totally exists, by the way.

In what has to be the oddest announcement of a high-profile game since Peter Moore’s Grand Theft Auto 4 tattoo at E3 2006, EA has tried to go …

OUYA Gets First Exclusive Title

Remember when Robert Bowling left Infinity Ward back in March? Turns out he’s been a busy boy, as the former Call of Duty hype man has started his own developer – Robotoki. The studio’s first game, Human Element, will launch exclusively for OUYA, the Android-based console currently making huge waves on …

FTG Review: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Dawnguard (Xbox 360)

Alright, I’m going to go out on a limb here. Skyrim is a huge ass game. After several hundred hours of gameplay, I have a sneaking suspicion that I’ve yet to see half of what Bethesda’s sprawling fantasy role-playing game has to offer. So when you tell me that the Rockville-based developer is adding …
